One-day workshop on the implementation of Internship and Capstone Project guidelines was held at Abbottabad University of Science and Technology (AUST), organized by the Youth Development Center (YDC) in collaboration with the Office of the Registrar (Academics).
The purpose of the workshop was to introduce and discuss the Policy Framework under the New Undergraduate Policy 2023 and share insights to ensure its effective implementation across all departments and affiliated colleges.
The participants of the event includes, Internship Coordinators from various AUST departments as well as Focal Persons from affiliated colleges. The sessions were led by Dr. Sardar Fawad Saleem, Head of the the Economics Department , and Mr. Qazi Khuram Shahzad, Head of the Youth Development Center.
Special guests included Mr. Abdul Aleem Awan, Controller of Examinations and Mr. Ajmal Khan Jadoon, Director Administration.
The Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan warmly welcomed the participants and emphasized the important role of internship experiences in the development of students’ professional skills and real-world readiness. He also highlighted the university’s commitment to supporting affiliated colleges in implementing this initiative effectively.
The workshop concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, followed by a group photo to mark the occasion.
