A prestigious ceremony was organized by the Department of Mathematics in honor of Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan, Vice Chancellor of Abbottabad University of Science and Technology (AUST).
Upon his arrival at the department, the Vice Chancellor was warmly welcomed. Chairman Dr. Waseem ul Haq, Director of Administration Mr. Ajmal Khan, and faculty members presented him with a bouquet of flowers. Dr. Waseem ul Haq then guided the Vice Chancellor on a tour of the department and introduced him to the faculty.
During the ceremony, the Chairman provided a detailed briefing on the academic programs of the Department of Mathematics, which was highly appreciated by Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan. He also congratulated the department on its progress and achievements.
On this occasion, a formal inauguration of newly donated computers for the department’s computer lab was held. The computers were contributed by Dr. Zafar Iqbal and his colleagues, and this generous gesture was praised by the Vice Chancellor.
The event concluded with the presentation of a commemorative shield to the Vice Chancellor by the Department of Mathematics. Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan expressed his commitment to fully support the development of the department and extended his sincere thanks for the warm reception and thoughtful event.
