Abbottabad – The first official meeting of departmental heads was held under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan, Vice Chancellor of Abbottabad University of Science and Technology (AUST).
The agenda of the meeting included discussions on upcoming student examinations, the admission policy, the launch of new academic programs aligned with modern trends, and other important matters. Mr. Iftikhar Hussain, Registrar of AUST, presented a comprehensive briefing on all relevant university affairs, which was well received by the Vice Chancellor.
During the meeting, Deans, Chairpersons, and Heads of Departments congratulated Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan on his appointment as Vice Chancellor and pledged their commitment to contributing to the university’s development under his leadership.
In his address, Prof. Dr. Tahir Irfan Khan emphasized that the university’s primary mission is to ensure both institutional progress and the provision of high-quality facilities for students. He urged all department heads and faculty to play a pivotal role in enhancing educational standards and providing an enriching academic environment.
The meeting concluded with Registrar Iftikhar Hussain expressing his gratitude to all participants. He assured that the Registrar Office and Vice Chancellor’s Office will continue full cooperation with all departments for the brighter future of the university and its students.
